Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Importeria B.V. uses cookies and similar technologies on its websites, webshops, portals and other online services. It supplements our Privacy Declaration.
The current cookie table on this page lists the technologies actually registered at this time, why they are used, who provides them and how long they may remain active.
1. Who is responsible?
Importeria B.V. is responsible for first-party cookies and for personal data processed by Importeria through cookies and similar technologies.
Importeria B.V. Keulsepoort 2 Unit 280 5911 BZ Venlo The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce: 76959066 VAT identification number: NL860853901B01 Email: info@importeria.com Telephone: +31 (0)20 220 2108
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that may be stored on your computer, phone, tablet or other device when you visit a website and read again during a later visit.
We may also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons, scripts, tags, SDKs, embeds and server-side event recording. In this Policy we refer to these technologies collectively as cookies unless a distinction is required.
3. First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are placed or read directly by Importeria. Third-party cookies and technologies are supplied by another organisation, such as a payment provider, statistics service, advertising platform or external-media provider.
Where a third party processes personal data for its own purposes, that party is responsible for its processing. Where applicable, the current cookie table links to that party's information.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website and requested functions to work securely and correctly. They may support security, session management, login, CSRF protection, the cart, checkout, necessary fraud prevention, load balancing and storage of your cookie preference.
We do not ask for consent for these strictly necessary functions. You may block them in your browser, but parts of the site may then fail to work properly.
5. Preference cookies
Preference cookies may remember choices such as language, sales country, display settings or other usage preferences.
Some preference technologies may be necessary to perform a function you explicitly requested. We ask for prior consent for other preference technologies. The current cookie table states which situation applies.
6. Statistics cookies
Statistics cookies may help us understand how the website is used and performs. They may collect information about pages visited, features used, technical errors, loading times and general usage patterns.
Consent may not be required for narrowly configured statistics technologies with very limited privacy impact where applicable rules allow this. We request prior consent for technologies that track visitors more extensively or share data with third parties.
7. Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies may track use of our and other websites, infer interests, create audiences, personalise advertising, measure reach, record conversions or identify affiliate referrals.
Importeria uses marketing cookies only after you have consented. If you refuse or withdraw consent, these technologies must not be activated for future visits.
8. External media and functionality
Pages may contain external content or functions such as videos, maps, social-media content, review widgets or chat services. Loading them may send information to the external provider.
Where this is not strictly necessary for a function you requested, we load such content only after consent or after you explicitly activate it.
9. Payments and fraud prevention
During checkout, necessary technologies from Importeria and selected payment providers may be used to process and secure the transaction, prevent fraud and handle payment status.
When you are redirected to a third-party payment environment, that provider may use its own cookies. Its privacy and cookie terms also apply there.
10. Which cookies does Importeria use?
The current table lists each technology's name or identifier, provider, domain, category, purpose, possible data, first- or third-party status, activation time, maximum retention and whether prior consent is required.
The table is authoritative for technologies currently registered in the website. A general category description does not mean that Importeria uses every conceivable service or provider.
11. Giving consent
On your first visit we show a choice panel. You can accept all optional cookies, reject all non-essential cookies or set preferences by category.
Optional categories are not preselected. Consent is not inferred from silence, scrolling, continuing to browse or closing the panel.
12. Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your choice at any time through 'Cookie settings' at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
After withdrawal we stop future use of the relevant technologies. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out under valid consent before withdrawal.
Importeria cannot always remove third-party cookies from your device. You can also remove them through browser or provider settings.
13. Retention periods
Some cookies disappear when you close your browser. Others remain for a defined period.
The current table shows the maximum retention for each technology. We do not keep information longer than necessary for the stated purpose unless a longer period is legally required or demonstrably necessary.
14. Personal data
Cookies may process random identifiers, session data, security information, device and browser data, visited pages, interactions, preferences, referring URLs and technical error information.
Where information can identify a person directly or indirectly, personal data is processed. Our Privacy Declaration provides more information about purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention and rights.
15. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some external providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Any such transfer requires a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards.
Where possible, the current cookie table or provider information states whether international transfers may be relevant. Listing an external provider does not mean every processing activity automatically occurs outside the EEA.
16. Browser settings
Your browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. The method differs by browser and device.
Blocking all cookies may prevent login, cart, language or country preferences and checkout from working. Browser settings do not replace Importeria's controls for optional cookie preferences.
17. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers and devices may send signals indicating that a user does not wish to be tracked. Technical support and legal meaning may differ by technology and provider.
Where Importeria supports such signals, we document that implementation and at minimum do not treat the signal as consent to optional tracking.
18. External websites
Our website may link to third-party sites. Importeria is not responsible for cookies, content or privacy practices on sites it does not control. Consult the relevant third party's cookie and privacy policies.
19. Changes
We may amend this Cookie Policy when the site, technologies, providers or legal requirements change.
For a material change to purposes requiring consent, we increase the consent version and ask you to choose again.
20. Your privacy rights and contact
Where cookies process personal data, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, subject to applicable conditions.
For questions about this Policy, cookies or personal-data processing, contact info@importeria.com.
You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority.
